The organizer have just announced that the 6th J and Beyond conference will take place from the 29-31 May 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The motto for 2015 is "Golden Times ahead". The early bird ticket price will be only 199 Euro for the three day conference.

The conference will take place at the Hotel Don Giovanni. The hotel costs 85 Euros per room per night.

For early bookers there is a booking sheet for the accommodation and tickets will be available later this year when the event website is updated.

A golden opportunity

I attended the first four J and Beyond conferences, but this year I was unable to attend because of a photography conference at the Bahamas. Tough choice, I tell you ;) I'm happy that I will be able to attend the 2015 conference, as this event is someting I've come to enjoy a lot. there are so many great people there, and I've made a lot of friends from around the world. J and Beyond is also a great way to delve into something previously unknown, or deepen your skills in something you already know.

There will be opportunities to see the Joomla Bug Squad in action, or maybe you want to take part yourself? You don't need to be a developer to help, they need people to test patches as well. Even if you don't actively participate in the bug fixing, it's a great learning experience to see how it's done.

Yet another factor is the networking going on at these events. I have met some great people at J and Beyond and we have gone on to do projects together later. This is of immense value. It's also great to meet developers of the extensions you use. You get to ask them questions directly, suggest and discuss improvements of their products.

As you can see, I'm a fan of J and Beyond. And I really hope to see you in Prague in 2015!
