Joomla! Day Chile to be broadcast LIVE!

On Tuesday, 18 January 2011, for the first time ever from the Joomla Community Livestream channel, a Joomla! Day will be broadcast live.  Joomla! Day Chile has requested the ability to provide free access world-wide to the event.  Starting at 7am EST and continuing to 4:30pm EST the sold-out crowd will be accessible anywhere in the world!

How to override offline mode in Joomla without requiring a login

As you may know, you can set your Joomla site "offline" by setting "Site Offline" to "Yes" in the Global Configuration. This is a great feature that enables you to build or troubleshoot your site in offline mode, restricting access only to backend users who login through the login form displayed on the offline page.

A minor update to the Zen Grid Framework

I've just rolled out a minor update to the Zen Grid Framework which fixes a few things but adds some of the lovely new fonts available via the Google Font directory. I was a little bit skeptical about the range of fonts available when the directory was first rolled out but these new additions certainly provide for quite a range of options that should cover most needs for font replacement.

Joomla!Day Chile 2011 Recap

From the highest point in the tallest building in Santiago, Chile, Joomla!Day Chile provided South America's Spanish-speaking community the first Joomla!Day of it's kind on January 18, 2011.  With sweeping views of Santiago and the great Andes mountains, Joomla users, developers, and designers from across Chile participated in one of the largest Joomla!Days I've ever attended.
